Brady Ells
Hi, my name is Brady and I was and am very proud to take up the position of Secretary for C.P.B.S. Growing up, I would regularly attend the Mayfield and East Hoathly bonfire celebrations year in, year out and thoroughly enjoyed watching these fantastic celebrations as a child.
In 2011, I was invited to walk in the Mayfield Bonfire procession and proudly carry the flag of Sussex. Since then, I have been a participant in wonderful Sussex Bonfire torchlit processions. |
Apart from Bonfire, my interests include Sussex local history, vexillology (the study of flags) and I am a supporter of Brighton & Hove Albion. In 2011, I successfully campaigned to get the flag of Sussex officially adopted and have designed a number of flags since including the county flags of Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
My role entails communication with members, other bonfire societies and parties, minute-taking at committee meetings, and generally piecing bits of the jigsaw together logistically to help make events and activities are put together in a successful and enjoyable way. I was very honoured to have worked with Rob and the initial small team to get Chiddingly Parish Bonfire Society off the ground in its infancy and have been immensely fulfilled to see the Society grow and progress into what it has become today, seeing the Sussex Bonfire tradition return to Chiddingly for the first time in 110 years in 2022 and very much looking forward to this continuing in the years to come. |
