Annis Hylands
Annis is fairly new to bonfire but is enjoying fulfilling a childhood dream of being part of a society and sharing this with her family.
This year she was elected to be head of the humbugs (junior section of the society). |
She is excited to be given the opportunity to involve the next generation in the ways of bonfire and grow the society.
After studying for a degree in drama therapy Annis has worked in adult social care for over 15 years. this has taken many forms: as a support worker, life skills and gardening group leader and administrator. She currently works in a community for adults with learning disabilities, running a weaving and knitting workshop. She has also in the past worked as part of the welfare team for big events such as Outlook, Hopfarm festival and Womad festivals. As a parent at Chiddingly school she is well placed to work with them on bonfire related activities and hopes to find creative and fun ways to engage the next generation of the CPBS. |
